980 WCAP is Looking for Summer Interns

WCAP Internship Program

Internships at 980 WCAP and Merrimack Valley Radio, LLC are offered to seniors in high school, college, and graduate students who are interested in a career in broadcasting, radio production, journalism, advertising, marketing, or broadcast sales. The program is designed to give students practical hands-on experience to further prepare them in their field of study.

Internships are available in the following departments:

-Sales/Marketing

-Production

-News

-Sports

-General radio operations

Requirements:

-Must be a student who can receive academic credit for the internship.

-Must be able to work at least 12 hours per week.

-Have a positive attitude, be cooperative, eager to work and learn in a professional environment.

Prospective interns must provide the following:

-A resume

-A cover letter stating why you want to intern at the station and what area of concentration you’re interested in.

-A letter from a faculty sponsor/supervisor providing proof of academic credit for the internship.

-A written permission from school, parent, or guardian holding 980 WCAP and Merrimack Valley Radio, LLC blameless for any activities involved with the station or related travel.
