Salvation Army Radiothon Exceeds Goal!

THANK YOU to all 980 WCAP listeners and friends for donating and contributing to the 2009 Salvation Army Radiothon.
The weeklong event, kicked off with the "Radiothon Road Show" on Dec. 12. Warren Shaw and Major Everett Henry traveled from Dracut, to Tewksbury, Lowell, Chelmsford, and Billerica during the "Saturday Morning Live" show.
On Dec. 19, Warren held the gavel for the annual radio auction and sold items, including tickets to sporting events and vacation opportunities.
This year's goal was set at $98,000. But thanks to your help, $102,157.62 was raised as of new year's eve. The money will help a lot of individuals and families in the Merrimack Valley.
It's not too late to give.
