Built in 1951 by Ike and Maurice Cohen, it was purchased by Merrimack Valley Radio, LLC in August, 2007, with operations directed by the new ownership commencing on November 20, 2007.
The managing partners are local broadcasters Clark Smidt (www.broadcastideas.com) and Sam Poulten who offer some 75 years of Boston area broadcast radio experience.
980 WCAP broadcasts 24 hours daily with 5,000 watts.
