Harbor Homes is hosting an April fundraising event for our Veterans FIRST Program to ensure that no area veteran is homeless. We are partnering with the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce. On April 16, 2011, the two organizations will be hosting the 4th Annual Veterans dinner and auction at 6pm. The event will include both a live and silent auction with trips, restaurant certificates, and sports memorabilia.

 

The benefit will be held at Alpine Grove in Hollis and the funds raised will be shared by both organizations. Proceeds to Harbor Homes will be utilized to support the operations and growth of programs for honorably discharged homeless veterans. We have individual tickets available at $45, and $400 for a table of ten.

Since 2004, our veterans programs have enabled homeless veterans to address the causes of their homelessness, be it physical health issues, mental health issues, or substance use issues. Participants in our Veterans FIRST program develop job skills and work to obtain the training necessary to secure full-time employment and live independently. Currently, over 150 veterans are successful graduates of the program and are now leading productive and fulfilling lives. Harbor Homes has been providing housing and support services in the Greater Nashua area for nearly 30 years.

The VNA of Greater Lowell's "Links To Hope" Golf Tournament supports palliative care and hospice services or Greater Lowell residents with advanced illness, and help for their family caregivers.
